|Codename Games Partnership With Monster Xing To Release Zombonie
Press release for my development team's partnership with Codename Games:
Codename Games is pleased to announce a new partnership with Monster Xing, the development team behind iPhone game Zombonie. Zombonie is a lighthearted, entertaining game about the brutal slaughter of zombies in a giant ice resurfacer roaring through the city, and was created by Jared Yeager and the Monster Xing team in his spare time away from his producing job at a major AAA publisher.
Codename Games is dedicated to a role of helping bring quality independent work to market, and supporting independent developers of all stripes in pursuing their dreams and goals. ‘The opportunity to assist someone working in the heart of the industry to pursue his design goals and gamemaking dreams is one I’m truly excited about. Codename wants to create pathways for gamemakers of all kinds, no matter their circumstance,’ said Jesse Vigil of Codename Games.
A passion project from within the core of the AAA industry, Zombonie brims with crunchy feedback, simple, lovely art, and clever use of the platform. Started in 2009 as an outlet for Jared Yeager’s creative expression and ideas, and to be released in early 2011, Zombonie will be available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. More information is available at www.zombonie.com
Codename is an independent game label formed to incubate innovative new teams and projects. We borrow from the best of maverick entertainment enterprises to help talented young artists that are overlooked by the mainstream industry find their voice and audience. Codename is the home for new creators, unique visions, and anyone who is passionate about games.

|So what have I been doing?
So many wheels spinning and finally the fruits of my labor will be revealed. But I don't that cryptic crap on LJ so time to sum up missing months of work.
True Crime: Hong Kong: Keeps speeding along. I'm helping direct motion capture, voice over, music selection, design feedback, PR demos, and more. One of the demo gigs actually covered travel and hotel so Anne-Elisa could join me in London this pas May to celebrate our anniversary. http://www.truecrime.com
Special Effects: Created Hamlet zombies for fringe festival show "Shaked and Speared: The After Plays," which also ran again in October. http://www.mutineertheatre.com
Voice Over: Some decent auditions and possibly a chance to be in the loop group for "The Walking Dead." Also have a potential new agency to check out.
Zombonie: The iPhone/iPod Touch game is done, BUT I now have distribution to release in February with a funded iPad version as well. Lastly and maybe most crazy, William Morris Endeavor wants to shop the property around to be made into a movie. I've met with a pretty amazing director already and a pitch is in the works, but you never know in Hollywood. http://www.zombonie.com
The fact that I could get this game done on my own has led to the creation of my own independent game label, which I can't wait to share, which is why I'm practically spoiling it now. :P Current Mood: accomplished
